Summer vacation is almost over and you have to go back to work/school/university (you name it) in a couple of days. Yet, you absolutely feel like doing nothing at all, staying in bed and watching series all day long. You want to get ready, you want to get in the right mood and be productive but don’t know where to begin. How do you pull yourself together? Well, I am going to share a few tips that will make this task easier. These are the steps I follow every year to get back to my routine for the winter and they seem to work pretty well.

Small steps. You don’t have to do everything the first day you come back from your vacation. Instead, do this:
If you are preparing for work/university, on your first day back just unpack your suitcase and do the laundry little by little. Then, the next day, head to the grocery store to buy everything you need to get through the first week. My fridge is usually quite empty when I return home from my vacation so on my first visit to the grocery store, I only buy what I absolutely need to get by until the end of the week.
If you are preparing for another school year, pretty much the same applies to you people. Unpack your suitcase and do your laundry (yes, you can do your own laundry with supervision if you are 11 years old or older). Then, as first day of school comes closer, you might want to take a look at your room and office space. Remove anything you think might not be useful this year and if left can end up cluttering the space. Next, make a list of anything you will need for school this year such as new stationery, notebooks and stuff like that.
My point here is to get yourself back into the routine you had before leaving without going through the shock of having to do everything in a day.
