I don’t like cleaning as much as I do organizing but I can’t help but admit that every single time I finish cleaning my house, I feel really good, my motivation skyrockets and my stress levels go down drastically. I have chosen 5 chores which I regularly do in my house and have a very positive impact on myself. I don't want to keep you waiting any longer so here it goes!

Making the bed. It is such a simple task and it only takes 2 minutes but it can be life changing. It lifts your mood and sets the tone for the rest of the day. It clearly promotes organization and improves the quality of life. You have the perfect mindset to start your day!

Doing the dishes. Another excellent exercise to increase your productivity. When we wash dishes, we tend to be very focused on the task paying attention to every detail and disconnecting from our pressing reality. As a result, we concentrate on our breathing (a perfect meditation technique, don’t you agree?). Stress levels are reduced and creativity spikes. Maybe go the traditional way some days of the week and forget the dishwasher for a while?

Folding clothes. I know it is boring but it may surprise you to learn that it very much helps with organization. Folding clothes and putting them away is a perfect way to practice your gross and fine motor skills repeatedly. That means that you also practice being consistent. And guess what? Success loves consistency. So, you had better keep folding clothes and quit complaining about it.

Cleaning the floors. Whether you realize it or not, when you sweep or vacuum your floors, it can greatly impact your mood. Have you ever heard of endorphins? They are released every time you sweep or vacuum your floors and make you feel happier. Some people even say that cleaning the floors is therapeutic for them. Apart from the fact that you can burn quite a lot of calories, it can improve your mental health by calming your mind. I call that success.

Cleaning your office. You don’t need me to tell you that a clean office equals a clear mind. Whenever I work in my office, I never skip this step. Everything must be in their place and organized before I start my task. Having a clean office is a great start to success. It helps you concentrate and removes any distractions. You can work productively and efficiently by processing information best. Plus, you get to have a nice-looking office which can make you feel better.

These are just 5 chores. There are several others you can do and can significantly influence your productivity levels. Choose those that suit your needs and schedule.
